Ariel Knights, a 22 year old woman from Ohio is now suing the abortion clinic she had an attempted abortion at but it did not work. She decided to have the abortion because she sufferes from a condition called uterine didelphys which means she has 2 uteruses and one is more unstable than the other. In her most recent pregnancy, the egg was fertilized in the less stable of the 2 uteruses and this posed a possible threat for the woman and her life. Doctors commented saying that carrying the baby to full term could endanger her life. This is where she made the tough decision to abort the baby however, having complications after the pregnancy she realized she was still pregnant. She risked her own life to carry the baby to term.
I think this is important because this shows a case where an abortion would be a good plan of action. It is being done to save the mother’s life and if she carried the baby to term the baby probably wouldn’t make it either. I do not fully agree with abortion but if it is being done to save a life then I agree with it 100%.
